Responsibilities

  • You'll help support our revenue forecasting model by analyzing data, working with staff to track revenue against goals, and finding efficiencies in the process

  • You'll help track website and metrics to provide ongoing analysis and insight on the health of the business

  • You'll support the volunteers on special data-driven projects 

    Skills

    You are experienced and knowledgeable

    You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.  You are comfortable building basic models, running analysis, and putting together decks.  You have experience not only crunching the numbers but also articulating what they mean and how they can be useful in understanding the business.  You find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.

    Your attention to detail is impeccable

    You know the devil is in the detail, and your meticulous nature and dedication to process trumps the threat. The integrity of our data is a core value, and you understand that it take a tremendous amount of focus to get there.  You have the ability to comprehend complex data sets without compromising accuracy.

    You're independent and self-motivated

    You can handle a wide variety of tasks without constant supervision. You relish the chance to own your projects – you're confident and capable.  You’re reliable.

    MBA or a minimum of 2-year work experience preferred 

    Commitment

    Start & end date is flexible; must be able to work from our NY offices at least 2-3 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Sort checks, money orders & cash according to ITAVA

  • Enter donations into our CRM

  • Create tax receipts

  •  Track expenses on the corporate American Express cards

  • Manage our MTA benefits

  • Help with a variety of Human Resources and expense projects, when possible

  • Data entry! You'll keep our accounting/CRM system accurate and up to date

    You can coordinate efforts with many different departments -- both internal and external -- to get the job done right. You use sound judgment and intuitive analysis. And you know to follow up to make sure everyone's on the same page, especially when it comes to donor info and HR tasks.

    You know the tools
    You know how to best use Microsoft Excel and online tools to utilize time wisely. Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

    You have experience to back you up
    You have at least one year of general administrative or data entry experience. You have at least a high school diploma; college-level accounting classes are a plus. You're not afraid to ask questions when you can't find the answer on your own. 

    Commitment

    We're looking for someone to start ASAP and work through Spring. You must be in the NYC area to apply; you'll work 2-3 days (a minimum of 15 hours) from our office in Brooklyn.
